Empowering Students, Creating Equal Opportunities

Education is a key driver of social mobility, yet many Primary 6 students from low-income families face challenges that hinder their academic progress. In 2024, we launched the Care4Students (C4S) programme, a pilot initiative designed to provide targeted academic coaching to help these students prepare for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

What sets C4S apart is its small class sizes, professional tuition, and last-mile outreach, ensuring that students receive personalized support tailored to their needs. More than just an education initiative, C4S aims to transform life trajectories, empowering students with the confidence and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their full potential.

I learned to understand my feelings better through the mentoring sessions. I am able to dive deeper into myself. This programme gives me more confidence to speak up for my own opinions.

What I found helpful was that I can talk to my tutors without worrying. The most memorable moment was when my friend was doing bicycle kick in class, it was a funny moment that bonded us together. Me, my friends and tutor were laughing together over this.

My child is more independent. He can find his way around and attend things he has to attend by himself. It is also good as he feels safe in the community, and belonged to a community and not like an outcast because he is different, and his situation is different.
