Key Highlights from FY2026
FY2026 was a landmark year: Leap201 crossed the milestone of two million lives impacted across Singapore and Southeast Asia. Total cumulative lives impacted reached 2,526,846, with 1,949,727 in Singapore and 577,119 through the Southeast Asia Social Loans Programme. Total capital deployed since inception exceeds S$9.6 million. Leap201’s next target is four million lives impacted by 2030.
Singapore Highlights
Care4WorkingFamilies (C4W) has impacted over 550,000 lives. Elements of Leap201’s advocacy have been reflected in national policy, including enhancements to CareShield Life payouts and the Government’s March 2026 “greenlane” approach, under which seniors needing multiple long-term care services require only one comprehensive assessment.
SG Home4Life launched as a project on the retirement adequacy of Singapore’s seniors. A survey of 1,000 lower-income young seniors (aged 50 to 59, living in three-room flats) found that 64% feel under-prepared for retirement. Leap201 put forward recommendations across three pillars (Plan, Work and Care) and convened an SG Home4Life Roundtable on 9 September 2026 with nearly 20 senior-level representatives from the public, private, people and academic sectors.
Key recommendations include:
- One-Stop Retirement Advisory
- Earlier, more flexible Lease Buyback
- Support for Employing Seniors Flexibly
- More Support to Convert a Second Skill into a Second Career
- Wrap Support around Caregivers
- Mandate Family Care Leave
